La Traversée is a psychosocial support and psychotherapy centre for victims suffering from mental health issues resulting from sexual abuse.
No cost
We provide a range of services at no cost to victims of sexual abuse and their families. Since 1984, we have helped rebuild thousands of lives.
Inclusive
Our support services are available to all residents of the Montérégie region, regardless of their gender or age.
Innovative
Since 2024, we have been offering EMDR follow-ups, a psychotherapy approach endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the treatment of trauma.

Integrated services
In 2023, La Traversée, the Montérégie CAVAC, and the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil deployed the first Centre de services intégrés en violence sexuelle (CIViS) in the Montérégie region. This new centre helps to streamline the psycho-socio-legal process for victims of sexual abuse, regardless of their age or gender.
