31st La Traversée Golf Classic: A Record-Breaking Edition in Support ofMental Health

A memorable day of sport and solidarity

On September 15, 2025, more than 200 people gathered at the prestigious Pinegrove Golf Club for the 31st La Traversée Golf Classic. Over the decades, this event has become much more than a tournament: it is a true gathering where sport, generosity, and commitment come together to support a vital cause.

This year, the mobilization reached new heights. Together, participants and partners helped raise $261,174, a record-breaking amount in the history of the Classic. Behind this number lies a collective energy transformed into tangible
support: providing free specialized psychotherapy and psychosocial services to individuals affected by sexual violence.

Turning solidarity into specialized care

Every year, hundreds of people walk through the doors of La Traversée, a non-profit organization serving the Montérégie region for more than 40 years. Children, adolescents, adults, and families find tailored support after trauma related to sexual violence. Thanks to a team of trauma-specialized psychotherapists and professionals, those welcomed can begin a path toward greater stability and quality of life.

The funds raised through the Golf Classic ensure our services remain free, preventing individuals from being forced to give up treatment due to financial constraints. Without this support, too many victims would be left with an impossible choice between their mental health and essential needs such as housing or feeding their families. That is what makes this event so precious: every swing on the course becomes real access to specialized and free care.

Strong support from the business community

The success of the Golf Classic is rooted in the steadfast mobilization of the corporate community. This 31st edition was supported by numerous partners who stepped forward with enthusiasm and conviction.

La Traversée warmly thanks its major sponsors and corporate partners: RBC Capital Markets, Desjardins, CIBC World Markets, BofA Securities, National Bank Financial Markets, TD Securities, Deutsche Bank Group, Bloomberg, Shorcan, Candeal, Vlaad and Company, Société Générale, Virtu Financial, TMX, Scotiabank, RJ O’Brien, CIBC Mellon, and Ion Markets.

Their support demonstrates how the financial and corporate sectors can play a key role in mental health and the well-being of communities.

More than 30 years of history and commitment

Since its very first edition, the La Traversée Golf Classic has become a philanthropic milestone event. Each year, nearly 200 corporate, philanthropic, and community leaders come together with a shared conviction: even though sexual violence leaves deep scars, it should not condemn an entire life to suffering. With access to specialized psychotherapy, rebuilding is possible.

This success adds to a long tradition: in 2024, the event raised $235,000. The 2025 edition proved that solidarity continues to grow and renew itself.

See you in 2026 for the 32nd edition

Beyond the figures and records, it is the human solidarity that truly defines the Golf Classic. Every smile, every handshake, and every generous gesture reminds us that together, we are building a more engaged and compassionate society.

La Traversée is already inviting its partners and the community to join us in September 2026 for the 32nd edition of the Golf Classic at Pinegrove Golf Club.

In the meantime, the organization continues its mission: providing free psychotherapy and mental health support to individuals affected by sexual violence and their loved ones.
