Committing to the cause, one swing at a time
On September 21, 2026, more than 200 people gathered at Pinegrove Golf Club for the 32nd La Traversée Golf Classic. Since its first edition, this event has grown into a true gathering where the idea of going above and beyond takes on a double meaning. Our partners push their limits both on the course and in their commitment to an essential cause.
This year, mobilization reached new heights. Together, participants and partners helped raise $354,788 — a record amount in the Classic’s history for the second year in a row.
Behind this number lies a collective energy turned into concrete support: offering free, specialized psychotherapy and psychosocial support services to survivors of sexual violence.
Making specialized care accessible
Every year, hundreds of people walk through La Traversée’s doors. Children, teens, adults, and families find tailored support there following trauma related to sexual violence. Thanks to a team of specialized psychotherapists and trauma-trained counsellors, those we welcome can begin a path toward recovery.
Funds raised at the Golf Classic ensure our services remain free of charge. This support makes a fundamental right accessible: the right to care for one’s mental health, regardless of age, gender, or income.
That is why this event matters so much.
A community with a head for business
The Golf Classic’s success is thanks to the steadfast support of the corporate community. This 32nd edition was backed by numerous partners who showed up with enthusiasm and conviction.
La Traversée extends special thanks to our two presenting partners: Desjardins and RBC. Their long-standing support is about far more than taking part in a golf tournament — it embodies one of our core values: commitment. Their support, year after year, guarantees exactly what we offer the people we accompany: the chance to catch their breath and look toward the future with hope.
We also want to recognize the support of our major and corporate partners, without whom our services would not be possible: Amazon Web Services, CIBC Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank, AJ Stratégie, Cortex GH, TD Securities, National Bank, Shorcan, Slalom Consulting, Canaccord Genuity Corp., DGIA, Candeal, CIBC Mellon, the Montreal Exchange, Virtu Financial, and Caisse Desjardins Charles-LeMoyne.
A tradition that does good
Since its first edition, La Traversée’s Golf Classic has become an unmissable autumn tradition. Each year, around 200 leaders from the corporate, philanthropic, and community sectors come together around a shared conviction: mental health is a fundamental right. With access to specialized psychotherapy, a path toward rebuilding becomes possible.
This success builds on a new tradition: in 2025, the event raised a record amount. The 2026 edition proved that this solidarity keeps growing and renewing itself.
See you in 2027
If there’s one thing to remember from an incredible 2026, it’s the commitment of our partners.
Taking part in our Classic means playing golf, yes — but above all, it means making a commitment. A commitment to making mental health care accessible. A commitment to helping survivors of sexual violence heal. A commitment to building a better society, one session at a time.
La Traversée already looks forward to welcoming its partners and community back in September 2027 for the 33rd edition of the Classic.
In the meantime, we continue to bring our mission to life: offering free psychotherapy and mental health support services to survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.
