La Traversée is a psychosocial support and psychotherapy center for victims suffering from mental health disorders following sexual abuse.

Operating in Montérégie for 40 years, we offer free services to victims of sexual violence of all genders and ages, without discrimination, as well as to their loved ones. Since 1984, La Traversée has helped tens of thousands of lives rebuild.
Innovation
Since 2023, we have coordinated and hosted the Centre de services intégrés en
violence sexuelle (CIViS), a project co-led with the CAVAC de la Montérégie and the
Agglomeration of Longueuil Police Department. This center enables the implementation of a continuum of intervention, thus facilitating the psycho-socio-legal trajectory and the therapeutic journey of victims of sexual violence.

Joining La Traversée means taking part in this unique project within a multidisciplinary
team to exchange, explore, collaborate and develop true cutting-edge expertise in the
field of sexual violence.
Your responsibilites
- Communicate with the various partners involved to gather the information necessary for the assessment of clients and conduct assessments.
- Conduct individual medium- and/or long-term psychotherapy follow-ups with victims of all types of sexual violence.
- Co-facilitate psychotherapy groups.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with ethical and organizational requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and co-development meetings.
- Participate in training offered to the clinical team.
- Collaborate with psychosocial workers, the administrative team and the various CIViS partners.
- Participate in the improvement of practices and procedures as well as knowledge transfer.
- Any other related tasks.
Required profile
- Graduate university degree (Cycle 2) in social sciences (psychology, sexology, social work, criminology or other relevant degree).
- Hold a valid psychotherapy license issued by the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ).
- Interest in working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge and interest in the clinical issues related to sexual violence.
- Ability to work in English (an asset).
- Positive energy paired with high ethical rigor.
